The Skinergist - Client Care and Aftercare
Last Updated: March 9, 2026
ā
Your skin journey begins with understanding your skin, your goals, and what your skin is ready for.
This page is designed to help you prepare for your appointment, know what to expect, and understand how each treatment supports longāterm skin health.
ā
Start With a Consultation
ā
Before booking any advanced treatment, a consultation is required. This ensures your skin is evaluated safely and accurately so you receive the right service for your needs.
A consultation allows Raquel to review your skin history, identify sensitivities or contraindications, determine which treatments your skin is ready for, and create a personalized plan that protects your skin and supports longāterm results.
This step is essential for your safety and ensures every treatment is performed intentionally and effectively.
ā

What to Expect During Your Treatment
Every appointment begins with a conversation about your skin, lifestyle, and goals. Raquel customizes each session based on what your skin needs that day.
You can expect a calm, restorative environment, a personalized treatment plan, gentle and intuitive techniques, education woven into the experience, honest recommendations without pressure, and a focus on longāterm skin health rather than quick fixes. Your treatment is a space to soften, reset, and receive intentional care.
ā
After Your Treatment
Your skin may feel refreshed, hydrated, or slightly sensitive depending on the service.
General aftercare includes avoiding sweating, hot yoga, saunas, and steam for 24 hours; avoiding makeup for the rest of the day; avoiding exfoliants, retinoids, and actives for 3–5 days; using gentle, hydrating products; protecting your skin with SPF daily; and following any treatmentāspecific instructions provided.
