3. Client Responsibilities & Medical Disclosure:

 

Clients receiving services at The Skinergist agree to provide complete, accurate, and up‑to‑date information regarding their health, lifestyle, and skincare history. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Allergies (including skincare, food, environmental, and medication allergies)

• Current medications (oral or topical), including antibiotics, retinoids, acne medications, steroids, and hormonal treatments

• Chronic conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or autoimmune disorders

• Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or attempts to conceive

• Recent cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, waxing, etc.)

• Recent sun exposure, tanning, or sunburn

• Active infections, open wounds, or skin irritations

• Any changes in health status since your last appointment

 

Clients understand and agree that:

• Failure to disclose relevant information may result in adverse reactions or complications.

• The Skinergist reserves the right to refuse or modify a service if any disclosed or observed condition makes treatment unsafe.

• Clients must follow all pre‑treatment instructions provided by the Company.

• Clients must notify the Company of any changes to their health or medications before each appointment.

• The Company is not liable for reactions or complications resulting from withheld, inaccurate, or incomplete information.

 

All services provided are cosmetic in nature and do not replace medical care or diagnosis.

 

4. Treatment Outcomes & Expectations:

 

Clients acknowledge and agree that skincare treatments are highly individualized and influenced by multiple factors, many of which are outside the Company’s control. By receiving services, you understand that:

• Results vary significantly based on skin type, age, genetics, lifestyle, home care routine, environmental exposure, and adherence to pre‑ and post‑treatment instructions.

• No specific results are guaranteed, including but not limited to improvements in acne, pigmentation, scarring, fine lines, texture, or overall skin appearance.

• Multiple sessions may be required to achieve desired results, depending on the treatment type and your unique skin condition.

• Temporary reactions such as redness, sensitivity, dryness, flaking, or mild irritation may occur and are considered normal parts of the treatment process.

• Long‑term results depend on client compliance, including consistent home care, sun protection, lifestyle choices, and follow‑up treatments.

• Failure to follow aftercare instructions may negatively impact results and increase the risk of complications.

• Skin may purge or temporarily worsen before improving, especially during acne treatments or when introducing new active ingredients.

• Contraindications may arise that require postponing or modifying treatment for your safety.

 

By proceeding with any service, you acknowledge that skincare is a collaborative process and that outcomes cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

 

5. Aftercare Responsibilities:
